Our hotel restaurant is available to our guests 7 days a week so you never have to go out after a long day out exploring, unless you want to.
We love preparing delicious, wholesome menus for you to enjoy. Our focus is on simple classics, packed with flavour, made in-house and with zero waste.
We’re lucky to live in a region where we can enjoy fresh produce in abundance with artisan producers of cheese, wine, beers, kombucha, vodka, rum and gins within 10 miles of our doorstep.
It’s safe to say much of our produce has travelled less miles than our guests!

We’re proud to operate a zero waste kitchen, by taking your menu choices a little in advance, and preparing only what we need.
You confirm your table and provide your menu choices by 4pm, then relax and enjoy your day, sitting down to dinner at 7pm. It’s wonderful to anticipate the delicious treats you will enjoy that evening, while you’re out for the day exploring!
There is the perfect opportunity to relax in the bar before or after dinner, talk about your day, and plan tomorrow’s adventure.
Whilst our priority is our resident guests, you are welcome to join us for dinner even if you aren’t staying at Fernhill, subject to availability – simply call us to book a table.

Our menu is made in-house – everything from delicious vegan black bean burgers to the kid’s gluten free chicken goujons.
We understand how stressful it can be when someone else is preparing your food and you have a specific dietary requirement.
Our menus accommodate Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegetarian and Vegan as standard, plus we’re happy to adapt menus for more specific dietary requirements with advance notice.
We serve cream tea and a quintessentially British afternoon tea every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm, made to order.
Book in advance to enjoy a relaxed few hours indulging in this national institution in our peaceful surroundings.
Well behaved children are always welcome in our bar and dining room, and we’re happy to provide a child-sized portion for many dishes on our menu
In addition, our children’s menu is offered for smaller appetites with simpler tastes. It includes family favourites to help make eating away from home easier for everyone.
We make each dish in-house so we know your children are enjoying the same great quality as you are. Always with gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian and vegan options available.
Breakfast is always included in your rate when you stay at Fernhill. For us, it’s the most important meal of the day!
Homemade granola and gluten-free muesli, fruit compote and yoghurt, pastries and porridge. There are plenty of options for all.
A full English breakfast, tofu scramble, locally smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, a soft-boiled egg and toast soldiers…

Our café bar is open all the time for resident guests, and for those not staying with us we open our doors for you to join us on Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm.
There is ample space to relax with a sundowner and at the end of the day, or get together with friends for a glass of wine and a chat, enjoying those breath-taking views of the Marshwood Vale and our relaxed hospitality.
We’re on the Jurassic Coastal path with lovely walks into Charmouth, Lyme Regis and beyond.
